Brendan Share, owner of EJ Learning, Inc., is a JET Program Alum who taught English in Niigata, Japan. With a strong background in illustration and writing Brendan strives to provide each student with an interactive approach to learning the English language. What drives his lessons is an undying belief that all students have opinions and smiles to share if only given the chance.

Kyoko, EJ Learning, Inc.'s Office Manager, is the first member of our staff to greet new students and their parents as they learn about new school systems and surroundings. Language to Literacy
Encourage and develop students’ oral skills through a wide variety of child-centered activities that stimulate the child’s perception of the world and develop their language.

Phonics and Decoding
Establish the child’s phonological abilities, letter formation and use of phonics in decoding

Vocabulary Expansion and Diction
Improve comprehension, and gain confidence and proficiency in speaking, reading and writing.

Writing Skills
Develop students’ critical thinking, confidence and ability to answer straightforward and complex written assignments; build awareness, appreciation and proficiency in writing modalities (analytical, literary, presentations, research reports, poetry and verse); and help unpack homework assignments and complete take-home projects.

Reading Comprehension and Grammar
Students at all levels struggle with reading comprehension and grammar for various reasons. At EJ, as we untangle a complex sentence for students, we help them decode sentences with greater success when they're reading independently.  Reinforcing grammar through reading is one approach. As students learn to to make sense of what they read, they can employ more complex sentences in their oral and written language.
